What does Popcorn have to do with Tigers?

International Tiger Day 2020.

The magnificent and royal creature having the distinct stripes on the golden skin has become a synonym for Courage and Bravery.

Global Tiger Day, often called International Tiger Day, is an annual celebration to raise awareness for tiger conservation, held annually on 29 July. It was created in 2010 at the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit. The goal of the day is to promote a global system for protecting the natural habitats of tigers and to raise public awareness and support for tiger conservation issues.

The 20th century did not hold much concern for ecological balance. Poaching,  hunting,  trafficking, and cruelty against animals led to a fall in the population of tigers from around a lakh to hardly 4000 now. Most of the tigers are found in South East Asia. Though recent policies of the government have been encouraging for the Environmentalists,  it still remains a task at large to ensure protection to these Proud Beasts. This Tiger Day,  let's spread awareness of the maintenance ecological balance and do our bit towards the endangered tigers. Or else, Tiger's name will go down in history with the Dodo.
