But things take a turn for the worse when Al Qaeda
carries out a plane attack on The World Trade Centre on September 11th, 2001.
The 9/11 changes everything for Muslims in America, as all the Muslims were now
under suspicion and they face a lot of discrimination. As a result of this,
Mandira's son Sameer is killed by a group of boys motivated by hatred towards
Muslims. So, Mandira starts feeling that marrying Rizwan was a bad decision as

"My name is Khan & I'm not a Terrorist"
He promises himself that he would not return back to Mandira unless the message is delivered. But the path was far from easy, Rizwan faces a lot of hardships on his way but he never gives up and finally, he fulfills his mission and reunites with Mandira.

Conclusion
Conclusion
Plus Points
- Social message
- Incredible acting, especially by Shah Rukh Khan who portrays the role of an autistic individual flawlessly.
- Soulful music
- Excellent Cinematography and locations
Negative Point
- The movie tries to cover quite a few subplots, like religious extremism, natural calamity, love story, health disorder, social integration, etc. So it becomes a bit difficult to do complete justice to each and everyone, but overall it has done more than satisfactory in terms of that.
